At the onset of the AI era, many disruptions appear to be detrimental to our way of life. If allowed to develop and be fielded unchecked, AI will destroy entire industries, livelihoods, and human dignity. This does not make AI evil or not embraced - instead, we should be informed, have difficult conversations, and make decision-makers responsible for their choices.
And yet, when decision-makers are asked specific and critical questions, the generalized answers they give indicate that the level of understanding they possess is almost universally superficial. When deep conversations are had, they are often led by Purists - tech founders, investors, and those deeply invested in AI's creation and advancement. The conversations always revolve around the technology, its capabilities and wonder. None of this addresses the hard truths of the negative impacts of AI on humanity and how we will navigate this unstoppable future.

SRI represents is a new organization, advocate and guardian to us ALL. Our purpose is clear and noble: we will, through evidence-based insights, help guide humanity toward a positive future. We will not allow entire civilizations to stumble into a future with no fulfilling jobs, robots to replace partners and AI without limits.
To blindly go into this future is to destroy our very civilization and childrens futures. This does not mean we do not see the opportunity ushered in by AI; on the contrary it means we proceed well informed of the chain of impact and intelligently decide vs being victims of purists who pursue AI's unmetidaged advancement without regard to its impacts.

It's not enough to tell a generalized or sterile story - we intend to make it real and personal, and we do that through Evidence, Data, and Storytelling.
We will rapidly prototype a participatory app enabling unique insights, such as business scoring on how their AI Implementations impact people. The App will enable real-time participation, helping us 'see' where and how AI is being rolled out. We can't and don't want to do this without you!
